Domestic Agency

Each Party will establish a Domestic Agency, which will handle financially the procurement of that Party´s in-kind contributions to ITER. The Domestic Agencies will employ their own staff and have their own budget, and will place contracts with suppliers. They are responsible for organising and carrying out the procurement within the respective Parties. The procurements will be monitored by the Central and Field Teams.

Currently the Central Team, Field Teams and Domestic Agencies all have to be set up or identified by the Parties, a process that is expected to take place within 2006.
