The Cadarache Joint Work Site is hosted by the Commissariat Energie Atomique (CEA) at their site in Cadarache, about 60 km north east of Marseilles, France. The Cadarache Joint Work Site opened in January 2006 to allow the efficient buildup of the Central Project Team of the ITER Organisation, whenever that can be established. Its initial focus is on work in relation to licensing and to tailoring the generic site layout of ITER to the specifics of the real construction site. Thus the site hosts the head office of the Safety, Environment and Health Group, and the Site Layout, Buildings, and Assembly Group of the Nuclear Techology Division. The Acting Head of Site is Dr. Eisuke Tada. |
