Codes and Standards Meeting

Summary

With current, renewed interest in using the nuclear option (both fission and fusion) for future power the technologies and associated standards will need to be discussed and modified. This conference will cover national and international standards currently in use for nuclear construction, and the need to harmonize these to develop acceptable approaches to be used in this global economy.

The technologies used in the new generations of plant will be considered, along with new standards that these will require. Finally, the unique requirements of ITER will be considered, including the procurement arrangements and various applicable standards agencies.
