What looks like a picture taken from the surface of Mars is going to be the platform for the ITER tokamak. Once the levelling works are finished, the plain will be the size of 57 soccer fields (International standard). The volume of soil that will be removed and refilled would fill the Cheops Pyramid (2,5 million cubic metres).
