Directorate for Plasma Operation (POP) David Campbell, Director for Plasma Operation The mission of the Directorate for Plasma Operation (POP) is to support ITER construction and operation in all matters related to physics performance projection and assessment of plasma-related specifications for engineering systems. The Directorate is charged with the preparation of the physics scenarios for ITER operation (plasma operation, plasma control systems, ELM, eddy current, confinement, and mitigation control). It also leads science and technology R&D for ITER including the coordination of ITER and other tokamak physics activities, the implementation of the Test Blanket program in ITER, and the development of an integrated modelling infrastructure to support the ITER research program. ‹‹ Return to Highest Level
