On Thursday 13th July 2006, the 9th ITER Preparatory Committee, currently managing the project for the ITER Parties, took place in Cadarache, France. New senior staff were designated for the future ITER Organisation, as shown above, completing the top management structure. The committee endorsed planning for the future staff buildup and budgets, and the final preparations to establish the ITER Organisation following the Agreement signature, now expected in November 2006.
