The ITER stand was the star of the show at CER2005 (Communicating European Research) in Brussels on 14/15th November. This conference displays the research projects supported under the EU's Framework Programme. giving the press a field day to explore what Europe is doing.

ITER had a high profile location and presented the fusion mini-expo, the new ITER model, a multimedia system showing ITER videos, and the 3D version of "The Starmakers". The stand was visited extensively by the press and TV, and by Commissioner Potočnik. ITER also gave a press briefing, and Director-General Mitsos in his conference-closing speech pointed to ITER as the leading example of how European research could and should seek success by expanding to the global level.

Congratulations to all those who made this event such a success for ITER, in particular Rosa Antidormi, Hugues Desmedt, Patricia Libert, and Martin Drew (DG-RTD), Bill Spears (ITER), Pierre Paris (CRPP), and Maria Therese Orlando (Consortio RFX).

Bill Spears and Rosa Antidormi receive the award for best stand from Director-General Mitsos
