On 24th November ITER Director-General Nominee Designate Kaname Ikeda visited for the first time the CEA Cadarache Centre as well as the future ITER construction site.

His visit focussed on discussing preparations for the arrival of the ITER Project Team for which he will be responsible.

He was welcomed by Bernard Bigot, French High Commissioner for Atomic Energy, and representatives of the European Commission.
