 Luo Delong  The new home of the Chinese Domestic Agancy will be on the sixth floor of this building, five minutes away from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). The CN-DA is composed of five divisions: Project Management, Engineering Technologies, International Cooperation, Fusion R&D, and Administration. Under the leadership of the Minister from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the CN-DA is in charge of the implementation of the ITER project together with other ministries, institutes and entities, and also for the management of domestic R&D in magnetic confinement fusion. The CN-DA has been busy working on the preparation of Procurement Arrangements (PAs) together with the ITER Organization. The CN-DA signed two Procurement Arrangements for the TF and PF Conductor Coils in 2008, two others for Correction Coils and their conductors will be signed soon. For its signed PAs, the CN-DA has already completed market surveys in preparation for the contracts, and is finishing call-for-tender procedures according to the ITER "Guidelines to the Management of Procurements In Kind". The CN-DA will strictly follow its commitments and maintain close cooperation and communication with the ITER Organization and other DAs in order to contribute to the success of ITER project. << return to Newsline #102 |
