 Korea is to build two out of the nine sectors for ITER's Vacuum Vessel. Along with the superconducting magnets, the vacuum vessel is one of the major long-lead procurement items needed for ITER. Without delivery of the vacuum vessel on schedule, construction of ITER cannot successfully be performed on time. The contracting for the vacuum vessel and port construction thus has major significance for the project's progress. << return to Newsline #113 |
