IAS reviews and validates the implementation of ITER policies in accordance with the ITER Agreement and the Rules of Procedure of the ITER Council; reports on a routine basis to the Director-General and to the Financial Audit Board (FAB) on significant internal audit matters; and provides independent, objective assurance and consulting activity to add value and improve the ITER Organization's administration and operations. IAS also helps the ITER Organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of organizational risk management, control and governance processes, and assists the Director-General by furnishing objective analyses, appraisals, recommendations, counsel, and information concerning the activities reviewed. ‹‹ Return to Highest Level
