The Director-General of the ITER project is responsible for strategic management planning and policies, and representation of the ITER Organization to all official instances.  The Office of the Director-General (ODG) Department assists the Director-General in his functions by coordinating input from all ITER departments, and keeping him abreast of the day-to-day development of the project. The Office of the Director-General (ODG) Department gives advice on policy, management, legal matters, and communications. The office of the Internal Auditor is also included in ODG.
