In line with the French Government's approach to addressing the coronavirus, the ITER Organization is putting in place all appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of its staff and local communities and to minimize the spread of Covid-19 while maintaining critical worksite activities as much as possible.
In addition to the implementation of the recommended sanitary measures by the WHO, such as frequent handwashing and maintaining physical distance from colleagues, from 16 March forward the ITER Organization will maximize the use of teleworking for non-critical staff and the use of digital communications wherever possible. In addition, we have restricted all visitors from entering the ITER site until further notice.
The ITER Organization takes its role as an international organization very seriously, both in our commitments to our Members as a global project and in our responsibility to the local communities with which we have close ties.
We are committed to ensuring that all preventive measures are taken to avoid the spread of Covid-19 while doing our very best to maintain progress in the construction of ITER scientific installation. We hope that we will soon be able to re-open our doors to public visitors. We wish all of you the best health and well-being during this challenging period, and value your trust in our efforts.
