ITER Control System Technical User Meeting participants during software demonstration session
In December 2014 the Control System Division of the ITER Organization organized its first technical meeting for the users of the ITER Control System around the globe. The aim was to incite control system developers at different sites to come together and discuss their work in progress and plans for the future, as well as to see what was being done at other development sites, and, finally, to provide feedback to the ITER Organization.
The meeting was a success with approximately 150 participants coming from all ITER Domestic Agencies and from the ITER Organization itself (see the Newsline story
). In intensive three-day sessions the majority of ITER plant systems were covered.
The second meeting with a comparable audience was held in September 2016.
