Harnessing "the unlimited clean power" of fusion energy

"The idea of ITER was first discussed at an international forum in Washington, in 1975," explains the former ITER Council chair Evgeny Velikhov in a 25-minute program that was recently aired on the Russian television program Technology Update. This is one of the little known facts that we learn as the TV program takes us from the ITER site, to the archives of the Kurchatov Institute in Moscow, and from the European Tokamak JET to the many places where scientists and engineers are at work to harness "the unlimited clean power" of fusion energy.
