A plane with a view
Small planes that fly tourists over the Gorges du Verdon have to stay out of the restricted airspace over the CEA and ITER sites. However, on their approach to the landing strips at the Vinon-sur-Verdun aeroclub, they briefly offer passengers an oblique view of the ITER platform. The family of one ITER staff member, celebrating a daughter's birthday with a flyover of the region, took this beautiful picture in the morning of 23 August.
