Contract Description
The ITER Organization request an expert to work on the system engineering model design of diagnostic systems 55.E6 Visible Spectroscopy Reference System (VSRS) and 55.GL In-Vessel Lighting System (IVLS) located in Equatorial Port 8 for the former, in Equatorial Port 3, 9, 12, and 17 as well as Upper Port 2, 8, 11, 14 & 17 for the latter. Control and finalization of interfaces, components installation strategy SRO and maintenance aspects are crucial for these systems.

The system engineering activities shall aim at refining the interfaces and system model of the components of these diagnostics in view of preparing for their manufacturing and future installation on the ITER tokamak. In coordination with the Technical Responsible Officer (TRO) of these systems, the Contractor shall contribute to the formulation of design solutions and analysis, resolution of the integration aspects and the production of inputs for the assembly and maintenance plans to ensure the timely delivery and installation of these systems. Additionally, the work shall include the preparation and review of dedicated technical documentation.

The Contractor shall allocate engineering resource with experience in system engineering of complex scientific instrumentations, preferably diagnostic systems, for large scientific and / or nuclear facilities.

Contract Description
The work involves supporting the ITER Electron Cyclotron (EC) System Team in activities related to the design of the systems, contribute to the management and finalization of the interfaces, verification of the final design of launchers and transmission lines and provide dedicated expertise for manufacturing and vacuum compatibility for EC Launchers and Ex-vessel waveguides systems.
The candidate is intended to:-
-Work with CAD designers on the development of final design components bringing preliminary designs
to final designs.
- Provide structural assessment expertise (stress evaluation and code compliance) according to nuclear
codes (ASME III, RCC-MR) and conventional codes (ASMEVIII, EN-13445).
- Provide manufacturing and welding assessments according to nuclear codes (ASME III, RCC-MR) and

- Participate in design reviews.
