Looking northwest across the site in April: in the foreground, on-site assembly facilities for the poloidal field coils (left) and the cryostat (right); in the distance, ITER Headquarters is growing by 35 metres to the left; and in the centre, three cranes indicate the location where work is advancing on the foundations for the Tokamak Complex.
Encore onze segments à couler
Le radier du Complexe tokamak sera réalisé en 15 étapes. Quatre segments sont déjà coulés ; deux autres complèteront le radier du Bâtiment tritium (au fond). Au centre, les opérations de renforcement en cours prendront fin en juillet.
Le chantier progresse
Les ouvriers travaillent actuellement sur le quatrième étage de l'extension (RDC + 3). Une fois livrée cet été, 350 places de plus seront attribuables aux employées ou aux contractuels.
Tôt le matin
Dans cette photo prise avant 7 heures du matin, la structure de l'Atelier cryostat reflète le soleil. A l'intérieure, une grue portique—haute de 18 mètres—a pris place.
