Takeshi Hirai

10 Nov 2008 - Iris Rona

Takeshi Hirai joined ITER on 1 October as Design Engineer (Divertor Integration) in the Tokamak Department.

After studying in Japan, he worked for the Juelich Research Centre in Germany for eight years before coming to ITER.

Takeshi and his wife and one-year-old daughter live in a village near Aix-en-Provence.

Takeshi, who has great interest in architecture, enjoys visiting historical areas of cities when he is not at work.
