Description

Purpose/Scope:

The System Integration Section (SIS) is in charge of the functional integration of ITER. The main tasks of this section are related to requirement management, interface management, configuration control, functional analysis, and transverse activities.

The proposed assignment is related to the following systems:

• Diagnostics: ITER diagnostic systems provide all measurements required to operate and understand the plasma behavior. Magnetic parameters, plasma parameters, fusion products, and plasma-wall interaction behaviors, are quantitatively derived using a wide variety of diagnostic techniques (e.g., inductive sensing, visible/infrared spectrometry, X-ray imaging, neutron detection ...). These systems are physically integrated into the Vacuum Vessel and operated under gamma and neutron irradiation environments.
• In Vessel Viewing Systems (IVVS): IVVS is a detailed surface imaging system for the purpose of evaluating surface damages and erosions of plasma-facing components (IPFC) after plasma operation by scanning the complete IPFC surfaces during maintenance periods of the machine.
• Port Plug Test Facility (PPFT): PPTF is a facility to perform environmental and functional tests on all different port plugs and in-vessel components before they are installed in the Vacuum Vessel for plasma operation, by providing an identical vacuum condition as the Vacuum Vessel.

Activity 1: Requirement management:

• Contributes to the update of the System Requirement Document.
• Facilitates the propagation of transverse requirements.
• Ensures that transverse requirements are well implemented in the design.
• Supports the optimization of design requirements.
• Reviews design documents regarding requirements.

Activity 2: Interface management:

• Supports and refines the definition of the interfaces between the systems listed above and the other ITER systems.
• Reviews design documents regarding interfaces.

Activity 3: Configuration Control:

• Performs impact assessment of the technical modifications for the systems listed above.
• Ensures configuration control on the requirement and interface documents.

Activity 4: Transverse Technical Analysis

Technical Competencies and Experience:

• A degree in Nuclear Engineering is preferred.

Description

Purpose/Scope:

To prepare and monitor the coordination plan for a specific area of Tokamak Complex:

This IPA assignment demands a high degree of agility, technical expertise, and independence to proactively managecomplex engineering and corrosion-related preservation challenges. The ultimate goal is to ensure the integrity, reliability,and longevity of the ITER project's assets.

The IPA is tasked with conducting regular inspections and proactively identifying and resolving corrosion issues.

The IPA for Corrosion Engineering and Preservation Coordination is expected to propose, under the guidance of the PIPPreservation Manager, optimized preservation plans for the mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring equipment is wellprotected until start-up, cost-effectively and efficiently.

The IPA assists and reports to the PIP Preservation Manager in daily operations and acts as a liaison with otherdepartments. The IPA also supports the management of day-to-day contractual topics with the Preservation contractor(e.g., ensuring contractor resources are competent and properly trained, helps in case of issues with permits, scaffoldingneeds, etc.).

List of Activities:

1. Carries out regular planned and unplanned inspections:
   Proactively identifies potential Preservation and/or corrosion issues, analyzes root causes, and proposes solutions.
2. Maintains a clear register of all findings and follows up until closure.
3. Optimizes processes by driving continuous improvements in corrosion monitoring, prevention, and mitigationtechniques, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and best practices.
4. Troubleshoots corrosion issues: leads and manages corrosion-related projects:

• Drives complex technical corrosion-related topics to conclusion with the buy-in of the main stakeholders.
  Prepares technical specifications for the PIP Preservation manager to initiate contracts.
• Organizes and follows up on the works (in close coordination with the Coordination team) once the contract is signed,and ensures all transverse needs are met so that the Contractor can intervene without interruption.
• Ensures compliance through both planned and unplanned inspections.
• Always fully documents the decisions taken.
• Follows up on many of these tasks in parallel in an efficient way.

  The associate will do the work at height training in addition to classical training in ITER to be introduced to the projectand to the safety rules.
  It is requested that the associate have skills and knowledge in:
  - Advanced Corrosion/metallurgy/welding Engineering knowledge;
  - Experience in Inspection (NDT would be an advantage);
  - Good knowledge of Industrial systems (O&G or Nuclear plants);

Description

Purpose/Scope:

The purpose of this assignment is to:

• Produce the ICH Antenna prototype High Power test bench layout (full facility integration and component development);
• Review ICH Antenna prototype manufacturing data;
• Produce part of the Radio Frequency Sources Final Design Documentation;
• Review the Final Design package of the Radio Frequency Sources

1. ICH Antenna prototype test facility:

• Executes the Antenna prototype test facility layout in ENOVIA;
• Elaborates on the technical specification for the installation contract;
• Creates 2D diagrams for the RF test plant;
• Produces assembly procedure for the generator cavity, the transmission lines, and the prematching system;
• Reviews the IC Antenna prototype manufacturing data, with respect to the test bench integration capability;
• Establishes maintenance and commissioning procedures;
• Reviews mechanical analysis and thermal analysis.

2. Radio Frequency Sources FDR:

• Finalizes the RFS mechanical layout
• Reviews the Engineering analysis as part of the design justification
• Reviews / produce installation procedure
• Verifies integration of the RFS within building 20
• Produces the technical specification for the RSF mismatch transmission lines (and other components in the IO scope)

Mechanical Design Engineers (Piping and Structural) are required to support the Cooling Water System (CWS) Project. In particular, they will support the CROs (Contract Responsible Officers) and TROs (Technical Responsible Officers), for the following items:

• To perform/review piping stress analysis and support design/drawings of the CWS systems, making sure that they are properly performed, respect all interfaces, and are consistent among them and the 3D model.
• To support and lead CAD designers to finalize the CWS 3D models configuration, taking into account the different constraints such as building penetrations, supporting structures (platforms, building interfaces), and other systems (integration), etc. in relation to CWS equipment and/or piping.
• To develop construction design (e.g., pipe spooling) and propagate in the relevant documentation (e.g., isometrics, support drawings, bill of materials, etc.) in line with the construction and assembly sequence (CAS) and the pre-assembly / installation of the Cooling Water System (CWS);

The IPA shall contribute to the production of the overall associated documentation (e.g., calculations\analysis reports, 3D models, drawings, bill of materials).

• Perform thermo-mechanical calculations for piping, supports (from single pipe support to steel structure platform), and pipe crossing elements (building penetrations);
• Support and lead CAD designer for the completion of the CWS layout in the Tokamak building;
• Support integration, clarification of interfaces for CWS piping and equipment with all the interfacing clients, other disciplines, and Departments;
• Ensure physical and functional integration of CWS systems in the complex ITER environment;
• Contribute to the Area Analysis Events for CWS and associated supporting functions;
• Support the production of 3D models, construction drawings, and Bill of Materials (BoMs) to be issued for construction, such as piping isometrics, GA drawings, support drawings, pipe and fittings bill of materials;
• Contribute to the development of the Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) to be delivered to the construction contractor for the pre-assembly and installation of the CWS systems;
• Contribute to the resolution of issues\clarifications raised during MRR\CRR (Manufacturing\Construction Readiness Review) phase. Propose resolutions of issues to the TRO;
• Contribute to the resolution\answer to the construction contractor Requests For Information (RFI) and to the construction follow-up with related Non-Conformities (NCR) and Field Change Requests (FCR).

• Support updating Coolong Water System (CWS) hydraulic models, system sizing datasheets, system sizing reports, design condition reports and overpressure protection design, due to PCRs and feedback from commissioning team impacting Cooling Water system updating Chilled Water System (CHWS-1A) thermal hydraulic model and system sizing report in preparation for CHWS-1A FDR
