28th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference (FEC2020)

Details

Every year, the Fusion Energy Conference brings together world actors in fusion around the latest scientific and technical results in nuclear fusion research and development. Through its regularity and the breadth of participation, it promotes continuous and effective international collaboration toward the realization of fusion electricity.

This year’s event will take place from 12 to 17 October in Nice, France.The 28th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and hosted by the Government of France through the French Atomic and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA) and the ITER Organization.

11th ITER International School

Details

The 11th ITER International School will be held in 2020, hosted by Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France.

As the start of ITER operations approaches, it is timely to address this multidisciplinary topic that includes plasma self-heating by fusion-born alpha-particles, the influence of energetic particles on stability, diagnosing energetic particle transport and loss, and understanding runaway electrons. The subject of this year’s school is "The Impact and Consequences of Energetic Particles on Fusion Plasmas."

The five-day program (in English) is open to student of science and engineering.

Originally planned from 20 to 24 July 2020, the conference has been postponed to 16 to 20 November 2020.

ITER Business Forum 2021

Details

The next ITER Business Forum (IBF/21) will be organized in Marseille, France, from 6 to 8 April 2021.
 
The event offers business representatives the opportunity to learn more about ITER business opportunities, create partnerships with other industries inside and outside of Europe, and partner with fusion laboratories. Watch this space for the link to the dedicated website (not yet open).
